This 90 place centre requires a Centre Manager | Director as soon as possible to help prepare the centre for opening and hiring of staff. The centre will be well resourced for both the children and staff.

Duties & Responsibilities of the role are:

Maintaining a high quality standard of care throughout the centre.

Accreditation preparation.
Purchasing and budgeting for the centre.
Liaising with parents and management.

Assist with the set up of this new centre.

Qualifications Required:

Australian recognised Bachelor of Education/Early Childhood Teaching Degree.
Current First Aid & Anaphylaxis Certificates.
Police Clearance.
Working with Children Check.
Knowledge of NCAC & Licensing.

Experience Required:

Minimum 12 months experience as a Centre Director/Manager in a similar service.

Nutritionist – Cook – Lagoon Street ELC

Lagoon Street Early Learning Centre located in Goulburn is due to open its doors in April 2010 and will cater for 90 children per day from 6 weeks to school age.

The centre is committed to providing our families with high quality care and meals for a diverse range of nutritional requirements.

We are currently looking for permanent part time Nutritionist / Cook to prepare the daily (Monday to Friday) breakfast, morning tea,
lunch and afternoon tea for the children attending the centre. The role is also required to spend some time with the children to help out the staff.

Some specific duties include:

Implementing seasonal weekly menus.

Knowledge of nutritious cold and hot meals in line with dietary requirements and food standards.

Organise a weekly shopping list for each week’s ingredients.
Oversee food safety plan and associated documentation.
Responsibility for maintaining a high quality kitchen standard.
Demonstrated ability of working with budgets.

Knowledge of children’s meals, a Certificate in Food Handling and Menu planning is essential as well as a Working with Children Check.

Successful applicants must:

Ensure that the highest level of quality childcare is delivered and maintained.
Have a solid amount of experience in the Early Childhood Industry.
Past employment as an Area/Regional Manger an advantage.
Have a strong grasp of industry standards regarding CCB and CCMS, regulations and accreditation requirements, plus a knowledge of Qikkids.
Promote a centre effectively and be familiar with centre KPI targets.
Be highly motivated, mature, experienced, positive, and have fantastic team work skills.

Key skills / requirements:

Relevant Childcare qualification (Diploma or Bachelor Early Childhood)
Working with Children Check/Blue Card
Certificates in First Aid & Anaphylaxis
Strong knowledge of staff training / management
Capable of business planning / forecasting
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Genuine passion for quality childcare
Full knowledge of accreditation guidelines
